SharePHA Winter League 2025 – 26 Highlights

The Pacific Hockey Association will be lowering our fees starting in the 2025-26 Winter Season. The new payment structure reflects the fact that our current method of collecting team fees is not working well and is outside of how other leagues operate.The new team fee, with a hefty early payment discount, will be $7,125. This will be collected on a team basis, with individual amounts paid by players decided by the team captain.
With a myriad of methods for captains to collect player fees (Venmo, Zelle, Pay Pal …), it means PHA no longer has to process credit card payments from individuals. We will process individual payments from Free Agent players not affiliated with any team.
The payment details are listed below. Any team not paid in full by the second game of the season will be dropped from the schedule. This means that PHA will issue a two week schedule initially prior to the season start, and then a full season schedule following the second week of the season.

We also want you to know that the rink will be receiving a brand new Zamboni in about the middle of December (there is a huge backlog of Zamboni orders). This will be an electric powered machine with top end capabilities.
DESIGNATED GAME DAYS AND ICE TIMES
All games are in Cupertino.
Here is the current list of days and times of PHA games:
Sundays 7:30, 8:55 & 10:20 pm.
Mondays 9:15 pm.
Wednesdays 9:30 pm. (rare but possible)
Thursdays 9:15 pm. (rare but possible)

Oct. 19 – Season Start
Nov. 25 – Nov. 30: Thanksgiving
Dec. 23 – Jan. 3: Christmas Holidays
PAPERWORK, ETC.
ALL PLAYERS, REGISTERING ON A TEAM OR AS AN INDIVIDUAL, MUST COMPLETE, ACKNOWLEDGE AND SUBMIT THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AVAILABLE FROM THE PHA WEB SITE. THIS FORM ONLY TAKES A MINUTE OR TWO TO COMPLETE. NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY PHA FUNCTION WITHOUT COMPLETING A REGISTRATION FORM PRIOR TO THE FIRST GAME.
TEAM FEES
Payment Structure: discount due by October 15th. This is so the League has a firm understanding of which teams are playing, and in which conferences, so we can make a complete season schedule after the second game of the season rather than scheduling games a week or two at a time throughout the season.
- Full Team paid by October 15: $7,125 (SAVE OVER 20%)
- Full Team Payment by October 27: $8,985
- A fully paid team has a roster maximum of 18 players, so those teams can decide for themselves on having part-time players.
- Every team must be paid in full by the start of the season. Teams that are not fully paid by the second week of the season risk being dropped from the league or combined with other players. There is a very limited amount of quality ice times available, and we require teams to be fully paid in order to participate.

PHA will send a team registration document to each team captain, including a payment section. Although it’s rare, if you are paying by check, please contact David Greene to arrange a drop-off location.
