NEW INDOOR MASK MANDATE

2021-08-02

A message from the Ice Center of Cupertino- The Santa Clara County Department of Public Health just announced a new mandate for everyone to wear a mask indoors, including the ice rink, at all times:

https://covid19.sccgov.org/order-health-officer-08-02-2021- requiring-all-to-use-face-covering-indoors. Please understand that we are obligated to follow all the rules issued by the state and county regarding Covid protocols, so if you want to enter the rink to skate or simply spectate, please bring and wear an approved facemask that covers your mouth and nose appropriately.

There are currently no plans to require proof of vaccination to enter the rink. We will follow all local, state and federal guidelines regarding vaccinations. We greatly encourage everyone to get vaccinated as quickly as possible.

We also want you to know that we continue to have hand sanitizer, wipes and other safety precautions in place. We also want to let you know that the two whole rink air scrubber systems we installed previously have been in continuous operation; these systems are well beyond anything that was ever mandated or that most other rinks have. These systems are above and beyond the typical ice rink dehumidification system that every ice rink has to have in order to operate. Thank you for your support.
