Going into the C Division title game, the Warriors and Freewheelers the two teams had finished statistically tied for first place, but the Warriors got the top seed winning the season series 3 games to 2. So as expected, this game was end to end hockey from the opening faceoff. While the Warriors scored first, neither team led by more than a goal until the Warriors scored an open net goal with 4 seconds left to secure the victory.
Justin Lowenthal twice scored power play goals to tie the game, however a goal by Warriors Mike McConnell tied the game in the 3rd period & then the Warriors Century(old) line scored with 5:56 to go by Terry Lim put the Warriors ahead to stay. Warriors Goalie Matt Hamilton won the Most Valuable Goalie Award and Kris Sullivan the MVP Award.
Sullivan is moving up with the Freewheelers to B Division where no doubt he will contribute a lot of goals.
